In your role, you will be seconded to Coventry University who has been an active partner in a number of European networks for many years and has collaborated with a range of international partners. As part of the ambitious growth strategy for research and our plans for future developments around teaching & learning, we are looking to recruit a European Policy Advisor.
Based in Brussels, initially on a 2-year fixed term contract, the successful candidate will support the University to build a stronger understanding of the relevant policy environments of the EU; raise the profile of the University within that policy environment and lobby with EU policy makers and other relevant institutions on behalf of the University.
You will be educated to degree level and have demonstrable experience of working in a policy advisor role. You will have excellent understanding of the European Commission and associated policy environment and also proven experience of building strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers. You must be a self-starter, well able to work independently and communicate effectively at a distance.
You will be expected to spend regular time in Coventry, ensuring a good understanding and strong connections with staff at the University.
