The National Institute of Teaching & Education (NITE) is one of the country’s leading degree and training providers for teachers and school leaders.

Our national Initial Teacher Training (ITT) provision is growing, and our primary and secondary ITT programmes include Tuition-fee, Salaried, Apprenticeship, School-Direct and Assessment Only routes, all of which are available to trainees across England. We also offer an International PGCE as well as a PGCE for teachers in independent schools. With multiple entry points into highly flexible training programmes, we are expecting 1000 teachers next year to train with us.

We are looking for an intelligent and principled leader to guide our next stage of development in ITT. The successful candidate will have:

Knowledge of what it takes to develop first-rate teachers.
A bias for detail and accuracy, coupled with the ability to strategically plan for the future of a large, complex programme
A personal motivation to maintain high standards and lead the very best teacher training provision
Humility, humour and emotional intelligence

Reporting directly to NITE’s founding Executive Director, Professor Geraint Jones, you will be a member of the Institute’s Senior Leadership Team.
