Coventry University has retained its title of top UK modern university and has just been ranked 13th in the UK overall. Coventry University has invested over GBP 100 million in research excellence recently, plus GBP 150 million in its estate and facilities, including for environmental research. The University has also established several new Research Centres, one of which, the Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience(CAWR), established 2014, has water and environmental research at its heart.
This Associate Professor position is located in CAWR, and is a very senior post for a very experienced researcher. CAWR now has 50 research staff, and 30 PhD students. The successful candidate has a great opportunity to help develop the internationally excellent work of the Centre. Limited teaching is expected. CU funding of more than GBP 1,500,000 has recently allowed the purchase of a new Mass Spectrometer and for other instruments in five new laboratories with a dedicated research technician.
This position locates principally in the 'Water Quality and Pollution Dynamics' stream, within the Fundamental Processes group in CAWR. The four interacting research streams so far are:
Water Quality and Pollution Dynamics; Fluvial Processes, Instability andResilience; Hydrology, Climate and Environmental Change; and Urban Water.
