This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of Academic Liaison Librarians at the University of the Year for Student Experience (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019). The team is expanding and our new staff member will be based in the Disruptive Media Learning Lab, working alongside education researchers and academic staff. You will be a confident, proactive, and adaptable individual responsible for liaison with academic staff, students and researchers in the Schools of Life Sciences and Health. You will also help to enrich our resource provision through management of the relevant subject resources and associated budgets.
You will plan and deliver teaching sessions and develop physical and online learning materials. Creative and enthusiastic about applying learning technologies to the delivery of innovative library support, you will be open to experimenting with new ideas in teaching and learning. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to university-wide initiatives and project work to further service development and in support of the Disruptive Media Learning Lab.
You will possess (or be willing to work towards) a recognised qualification in librarianship or information management, with experience of delivering high quality information services and project work. The ability to facilitate learning and deliver effective embedded information literacy, and confidence in teaching small and large groups is essential. A proactive attitude, a passion for teaching, confidence with technology and the desire to provide an excellent service to our stakeholders are the key attributes required.
