This post is required to cover the teaching duties of Dr Stefan Herbrechter, reader in Media and Cultural Analysis, who has been awarded a prestigious visiting professorship to Heidleberg University.
The successful applicant will have a track record of teaching, research, scholarship in Media and Communication, with a focus in Cultural and Media Theory. They will undertake teaching, assessment and curriculum development on undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the broad field of Cultural, Communication and Media theory and methodology. Priority will be given to candidates with additional expertise in one or more of the following:
- Digital media, convergence and web studies, social media/web 2.0
- Gendered media, and/or feminist approaches
- Global/International media and media systems
- Media, cultural and creative industry policy
