Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Energy Manager, the Energy and Data Assistant will support the Environment Team in the effective management of energy across the university estate. You will be responsible for processing invoices, collating and reporting energy and waste information, liaising with stakeholders, analysing data, and ensuring systems are in place to identify efficiencies.
You will operate systems to allow energy, water and waste information to be accurately recorded, reported and managed, be responsible for the checking and payment of utility bills to support budget planning, and liaise with our utility suppliers to ensure metering and billing problems are efficiently resolved.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in collating and reporting data, handling and processing large data sets, and working with external contractors and suppliers to improve service provision.
You will have a high level of attention to detail, the ability to interpret and analyse data to identify process improvements, and a high level of computer literacy especially in Excel and other Office applications. You will be a good communicator with strong customer service skills to allow you to build strong working relationships with teams and stakeholders, be adaptable, and able to manage your own workload to ensure deadlines are met.
