The School of Marketing and Management is one of four schools in the Faculty of Business and Law and is home to subject disciplines in Human Resource Management, Advertising and Marketing including Digital Marketing, Sport Management and Event Management. We are a diverse school with a wide range of programmes and an increasing number of activities in the area of enterprise and innovation. Our collaborative and supportive ethos builds a strong community of academics and makes it a place where people want to work. We strive to be innovative and bold in our delivery and have invested in one of the largest academic trading floors in Europe, a state-of-the-art DigiComm Lab, and a Business Simulation Suite. The Faculty has two vibrant centres, producing world-leading research - Centre for Business in Society and Centre for Financial and Corporate and Financial Integrity. Successful candidates who are established independent researchers may be eligible to join a Centre immediately as an Associate Member and access a whole range of support. Early career academics may be eligible to join our ASPiRE programme (Academic Support Programme in Research Excellence).
As an Associate Head, you will join the School leadership team to lead the quality and accreditation portfolio in the School of Marketing and Management, working closely with colleagues to ensure best practice QA across the University, and driving standards to enhance the profile and reputation of the School’s provision.
To fulfil this role, you will need a PhD or an equivalent, in a relevant subject, and have a track record of academic excellence in teaching and/or scholarship and/or research and/or enterprise; as well as evidence of expertise and innovation relevant to the Quality and Accreditation portfolio. This include resource and line management, and the ability to advise, monitor and implement good practice in quality and accreditation in compliance with HE sector benchmarks, standards and professional bodies’ requirements.
