The Department of Accounting, Finance and Energy offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and Economics modules are taught at both levels. Coventry University London has a dedicated facility which houses Bloomberg terminals, and campus based platform access to S&P Capital IQ.
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Economics to support the delivery of our Economics modules. The post holder will contribute to delivering the Institution's mission which is to deliver career-ready,global enterprising graduates by providing a real business and professional experience that is tailored to individual talents and future career ambitions. Applications are welcome from candidates with expertise in all fields of Economics with a preference in applied economics.
We are seeking for applicants with excellent academic qualifications and research experience. Applicants should be active researchers and are expected to have completed a PhD in Economics or to be working towards completion. Successful applicants are expected to engage actively with the teaching, research, enterprise and employer engagement work of the department.A desire to contribute to the futures of students by preparing them for successful careers is essential. You will have substantial, demonstrable experience of teaching and supporting students with state-of-the-art learning methods, research informed teaching and up to date quality resource material.
As a lecturer, you will contribute to the teaching and administration at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the subject areas of:
- Microeconomics
- Macroeconomics
- Quantitative Methods
- Econometrics
- Financial Economics
