The School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Automotive Engineering is home to around 2600 students and 200 staff. Owing to the continued growth and success of our undergraduate and postgraduate engineering provision, we are seeking to appoint candidates with a passion for teaching and research.
We require a new member of staff with expertise in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, particularly the design and implementation of avionic systems. They should be able to demonstrable a commitment to high quality, innovative teaching and student support with an international outlook. You will be expected to support the commercial and/or research activities exhibiting a collaborative mindset to enhance the impact of your work.
Applicants should have, as a minimum, a higher degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent industrial experience. Experience of current practices and methods associated with UAVs would be beneficial. Experience of teaching, module management and supervising student project work would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and able to communicate with students, engineers and academia at all levels. You will provide support to senior academics for module delivery and assessment as well as STEM/Outreach activities and Open Days.
