The IT Project Management Office, based within IT Services, delivers and supports key strategic, corporate and IT projects on behalf of Coventry University Group, working with and building physical and virtual teams to support and enable successful delivery.
You will build relationships at a senior level and act as a liaison amongst different stakeholder groups in order to scope projects and mitigate risk and ambiguity with regard to requirements. You will form and coordinate project teams, composed of staff within IT Services and across the University Group, in order to progress and deliver projects and services. You will concurrently manage a number of projects, taking these from initial idea through to transition to live service and support. Typical projects range from system and service implementation, organisational change, IT work packages of Estates projects, and national and international campus expansions.
You will be expected to develop and maintain project documentation in-line with PMO processes, and identify, request and manage resources allocated to the project - both financial and staffing. As a key member of the IT Services team, you will play a part in defining and delivering solutions that will change the way in which Coventry University Group operates.You will also play a role in supporting the development of the PMO function and project management methodology and processes at the University. You should have project and programme management experience and extensive knowledge of working with stakeholders to capture requirements and define ideas.
