The successful candidate will be able to contribute to the delivery of topics relating to renewable energy engineering with an emphasis on the subjects of solar photovoltaics, wind/hydro energy, bio-energy and/or energy storage/distribution. Working within a team you will develop content to engage students on both the emerging and current technologies and applications for renewable energy. Having experience and skills with applying energy systems modelling and simulation software (e.g. HOMER Pro, PVsyst, windPRO, Aspen or similar) will be highly beneficial.
You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation and support the school’s research culture. You will be expected to undertake design and delivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and responsive that achieves excellent student learning outcomes. You must be willing to work flexibly and promote and support international partnerships, as well as potentially deliver teaching onsite at one of our international partners.
The candidate should be qualified to PhD level in a relevant subject. Alternatively, candidates with relevant industrial experience to an equivalent level are also encouraged to apply
Experience of working on applied research projects or contracts, as well as participation in professional practice/consultancy will be advantageous.
