Over
the next decade the Doctoral College and Centre for Research Capability Development will have a pivotal role to play in advancing the quality of the University's research environment. The new unit will achieve this by delivering a seamless offer of high quality professional support for researchers, from PhD to Professor.
We are looking for a positive, innovative, experienced manager to manage and lead institutional change in our PGR recruitment, specifically driving change in strategy and process in order to grow substantially the numbers of co-tutelles, international programmes at distance and industrially-funded doctorates and to maximise the recruitment of students funded through the new doctoral loans scheme.
You will have significant experience of doctoral education, a thorough understanding of what it takes to manage the development of multiple collaborative and international programmes - including managing and developing external sponsor relations - and will be seeking the opportunity to innovate.
