The Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing at Coventry University is one of the largest in the UK, and is nationally and internationally renowned as a centre of innovation for its teaching, learning and research.
We are successfully growing our student numbers and our research, fostering strong regional, national and global links. Further investment has led to the creation of a range of new posts to support research, teaching and learning. As such, we are looking for experienced academic staff who can underpin their teaching with research to support the overall vision of the University and help us to improve our growing reputation.
The School of Computing, Electronics and Mathematics provides innovative undergraduate and postgraduate courses and is home to over two thousand students. It is one of three schools in the Faculty and has a very successful suite of courses supported by excellent staff, teaching facilities and laboratories. The school is responsible for the development of a thriving portfolio of teaching and research. We offer a wide range of undergraduate degrees in Electrical, Electronic and Computer Hardware and Software Engineering as well as Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics and other related courses.
Our postgraduate courses cover similar topic areas and in particular we offer MSc degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Embedded Microelectronics and Wireless Systems. Due to the continued growth and success of our undergraduate and postgraduate electrical and electronic engineering teaching and growing research profile we wish to appoint an Assistant Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In particular, we require a candidate with an excellent knowledge of fundamental concepts and science of electrical and electronic engineering.
You will have a Master degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Teaching experience at higher education level with evidence of successful student learning outcomes is desirable. You will be responsible for the delivery of teaching and learning at undergraduate level.
You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do. You must be willing to work flexibly and promote and support international partnerships, as well as potentially deliver teaching onsite at one of our international partners.
