Timetabling is at the heart of the student experience. The Group Academic Resource Management Service are responsible for scheduling teaching and other events aswell as monitoring effective use of our spaces. Increasingly we are also contributing data to help with refurbishment and new buildings as well as working on developments of the timetabling and related I.T. systems. The service oversees timetabling and resource use across Coventry University Group, which currently includes Coventry University (CU), Coventry University London Campus(CULC) and CU Coventry, which has campuses at Coventry, Scarborough and Dagenham. We have ambitious plans to improve our processes, including developing our software provision and providing additional functionality to users such as online booking.
The service is led by the Head of Academic Resource Management. To support our expansion new roles have been developed and we are seeking experienced, enthusiastic people to join the service.
The role of the Group Academic Resource Manager to ensure effective implementation of the academic timetabling processes and systems across the academic units in the University Group. They will work closely with the teams based in each faculty/ unit, as well as liaising with other key stakeholders across the organisation to make sure we have appropriate policies and processes in place and to ensure that spaces are used effectively and equitably.
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you should have recent experience of managing complex U.K. H.E. scheduling activities using specialist software as well as experience of supporting the development of policies/ procedures for scheduling. You must have excellent staff management skills and be able to communicate and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
