Fixed Term until October 2020
The exciting and innovative MATUROLIFE project aims to design and develop textile and fabric-based technology for older adults that can detect and monitor health conditions. The project is funded by the European Commission via the Horizon 2020 NMBP call and involves 20 partners from 9 European countries.
The project will adopt
a design-led approach to producing highly innovative Assistive Technology (AT) products based on smart textiles. This post holder will be based within the School of Art and Design working closely with the Centre for Manufacturing and Materials Engineering (MME) at Coventry University. They will undertake design-related research, and lead on the co-design, prototyping and user-testing of a range of solutions.
The project will offer the opportunity to travel within Europe and work closely with end-users as well as a variety of industrial, academic, research and NGO collaborators from across Europe. The successful candidate should have a strong track record in undertaking high-quality research and / or practice in a design-related field.
