The Talent Team combines in a single unit all activities related to employment support, career development and advice, employer engagement and core skills development throughout the student journey, providing students with support tailored to their individual needs and career aspirations. Role Purpose:The Talent Team aims to be a sector-leading professional service dedicated to providing Coventry University Group students with inclusive support for successful graduate employment outcomes, tailored to individual needs and career aspirations, as an integral part of the student journey that will start at enrolment and continue beyond graduation.
Working as part of a multi-base team, each Career Development Consultant will provide careers advice, guidance and coaching to support students and graduates of the Coventry University Group into graduate level destinations, to achieve corporate objectives relating to Graduate Outcomes and TEF.
The role-holder will also provide advice and consultancy to key colleagues on the development of graduate level capabilities within the curriculum and support the teaching and assessment of accredited career-related modules at undergraduate level. Each Career Progression Consultant will be responsible, on behalf of Graduate Talent, for a specialism, and in addition to creating resources will contribute to planning and continuous improvement.
Person Specification
• A qualification in Careers Guidance, e.g. Postgraduate Diploma in Careers Guidance, or Postgraduate Diploma in CEIGHE, or NVQ level 4• Experience of supporting clients, 11 and in groups, with careers guidance interventions and coaching techniques to achieve positive outcomes.• Familiar with advising academics and other stakeholders on career related topics.• Ability to plan strategically and produce high quality written and statistical reports. • Experience of delivering an inclusive service to a diverse range of students ProjectClosing date: Sunday 14th June
