Working in the School of Energy, Construction and Environment, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in apprenticeship teaching in the field of Civil/Rail Engineering. You will join a School with high levels of teaching quality and student satisfaction and show a commitment to enhancing our scholarly activities through "Excellence with Impact".
You will have wide experience of Civil Engineering, covering both its theory and application, with a specific focus on Rail Engineering within Civil Engineering. The successful applicant will help the School establishes its new apprenticeship in Rail Engineering.
Applicants are expected to be members of a recognised professional institution or demonstrate that they are actively working towards full membership. As well as teaching and course management activities you will be expected to contribute to scholarly activities of the School in research, commercial enterprise or internationalisation.
Applicants from practice would be expected to demonstrate experience of training/mentoring and a portfolio of relevant project and professional experience in rail Engineering that can be used to inform the teaching and learning experience of our students. Applicants from academia will have experience and success of delivering high-quality teaching and learning opportunities together with a portfolio of funded research and/or industry-linked consultancy activity with associated publication profile.
