Coventry & Warwick Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme
The Coventry & Warwick Clinical Psychology Doctorate is a thriving and developing subject area which sits within the School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Coventry University, and the Department of Psychology, University of Warwick. The Doctorate programme is commissioned by Health Education England and currently has an annual intake of 16 trainees.
Applications are invited from Clinical Psychologists, who can demonstrate a commitment to clinical psychology training, to join our Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology.
The successful candidate will lead an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) programme aiming to improve equity and inclusion for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic entrants to the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training programme. This will involve co-ordinating work to deliver actions in line with the objectives set out in the Health Education England Action Plan to Improve Equity of Access and Inclusion for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Entrants to Clinical Psychology Training (HEE, 2020).
In addition to the above, there may be opportunities to contribute to other aspects of the training programme, such as trainee recruitment, teaching, assessment, research supervision and working closely with trainees to facilitate their personal and professional development. The post-holder will be an integral member of the course team with a key part to play in shaping the future delivery of this course, and other related programmes, and must be registered as a Clinical Psychologist with HCPC.
This is an exciting time to join Coventry University and the School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences. With a University Gold TEF rating we have demonstrable excellence in student experience. As a global University, our contribution to teaching excellence extends beyond our UK campuses, and the School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences works with partner organisations in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and South-East Asia. The post holder will also hold an honorary contract with University of Warwick, one of the UK’s leading research universities.
The successful applicant will be appointed at Assistant Professor level (£40,329 - £57,430 pro rata per annum) and the University offers a range of academic and professional development opportunities. A secondment arrangement (within the advertised salary range) may be considered for the right candidate, depending on employer agreement.
