Who We AreThe Academic Partnership Unit (APU) at Coventry University works across the University Group to identify, develop and support academic collaborations between Coventry University and its growing partner network, both in the UK and around the world. Providing extensive support to our partners, the APU primarily helps to facilitate the development, management and delivery of academic programmes jointly with overseas education providers.
Our team is part way towards achieving a growth phase that includes the realisation of ambitious targets for further expanding the scale of our activity, and enhancing still further our position as a leading university in the delivery of TNE.
To achieve further growth and increase our presence worldwide, we are looking to appoint a Associate Director (Partnership Development) with proven track record of developing complex partnerships and effective people management.
Who You Are As a member of the Academic Partnership Unit Directorate, reporting into the Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor International (APVCI) and accountable to the Director, Academic Partnerships (APU) you will have overall responsibility for the development of the new business pipeline for the APU. You will be required to create and support the capacity to push into new markets, better develop new products and create new forms of relationship to drive past the historic growth trajectory of Transnational Education. With a focus on introducing more innovation into our existing approaches to business development to open new opportunities founded on the longstanding reputation of the University for High Quality Delivery overseas.
Management responsibility of a team of Regional Managers based across our International Hubs, delivering the APU business plan and broader strategic objectives, This post will drive forward the development of new partnership opportunities, new markets and Government relationships.
A highly enthusiastic and entrepreneurial professional, you will flourish in this role if you can display the following qualities:
• Proven track record of successfully developing international partnerships and demonstrable knowledge of compliance mechanisms preferably in education markets• Evidence of developing and implementing strategic development plans including project management skills and financial planning and managing budgets• Skilled negotiator and networker with exemplary internal and external relationship management skills• Ability to travel extensively overseasFor further information on the role please see the Job Description and Person Specification attached.
