We are looking for a lecturer to support our expanding provision in Manufacturing Engineering.
You will be working in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace & Automotive Engineering. You will join a School with high levels of teaching quality and student satisfaction (Coventry has been ranked by the Guardian University Guide as the country's top modern university for the last 7 years and seventh in the country for our courses in Mechanical Engineering). The faculty also has a deserved reputation for strong Industrial links in both teaching and research.
You will be able to contribute to the delivery of topics relating to automation, manufacturing simulation, CAD and robotics. As well as significant academic knowledge of your subject, you will have experience of industrial application. You will have experience of developing and delivering high quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses.
Whilst primarily a teaching role, there are opportunities for becoming an active member of one of the faculty research centres, one of which is the Institute for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (AME) https://www.coventry.ac.uk/research/areas-of-research/manufacturing-materials-engineering/InstituteforAdvancedManufacturingandEngineering/
Experience of working on applied research projects, or participation in professional practice/consultancy will be advantageous.
The candidate should be qualified to PhD level in a relevant subject. Alternatively, candidates with relevant industrial experience to an equivalent level are also encourage to apply.
