Working in the School of Energy, Construction and Environment, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in teaching in the field of Sustainability & Environmental Management. You will join a School with high levels of teaching quality and student satisfaction and with a focus on experiential learning through student projects, simulation and field work in the UK and internationally. You will need a commitment to enhancing our scholarly activities through "Excellence with Impact".
You will have wide experience in Sustainability & Environmental Management, with a focus on one or more of the following areas: environmental law, environmental management systems, sustainability policy & innovation, life cycle assessment and/or ESG (environmental, social and governance) in organisations, covering both its theory and application at undergraduate and post graduate level and its blended delivery to students. We are looking for a candidate that can cover both UK and international aspects of sustainability & environmental management. As well as teaching you will be expected to contribute to scholarly activities of the School in research, commercial enterprise or internationalisation.
You will be expected to support teaching and field work across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including apprenticeships, work closely with colleagues in the delivery of current and new modules and act as an undergraduate personal tutor or apprenticeship mentor. We are looking for staff who will deliver and embrace a range of engaging approaches to teaching, learning and assessment in both face to face and on-line environments.
Applicants from industry would be expected to demonstrate experience of training/mentoring and a portfolio of relevant project and professional experience in sustainability and/or environmental management that can be used to inform the teaching and learning experience of our students.
Applicants from academia will have experience and success in delivering high-quality teaching and learning opportunities together with a portfolio of academic publications, funded research and/or industry-linked consultancy activity.
