As part of our research strategy, the Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations is working to strengthen human security and resilience to help improve the way we live. Our team of leading academics has developed a significant portfolio of excellent and impactful research that delivers world-class results.
We are now looking for a talented research assistant to join our team to support the delivery of a growing portfolio of research projects and consultancy. The post-holder will predominantly assist in the delivery of externally-funded research projects for a variety of international organisations.
The post will support the research and related project and consultancy work of Professor Math Noortmann in the field of security and United Nations research. With experience in a research environment and a good understanding of research methods, you should have a very good level of knowledge of security and resilience in societies and / or United Nations systems and related subjects,and an ability to apply this knowledge in a multi-disciplinary environment.
You must have a good degree and ideally a masters qualification in a social sciences field. Excellent critical analysis, project management, communication skills and well-developed interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team and on your own initiative.
