Coventry University has a vacancy for a Registry Assistant to support the University's Student Loan Company (SLC) team. You will contribute to the smooth operation of the team by responding and dealing effectively with enquiries from students, staff and the SLC. This post will enable you to assist with the flow of data between the University and the SLC.
The SLC Registry Assistant will assist the SLC Officers and Operations Manager with pro-actively managing and co-ordinating the University's relationship with the SLC and in communicating effectively with students who have applied to the SLC for financial support.
This will include assisting in the maintenance of student data on the University's student records database, investigation and handling of the University's SLC complaints and appeals procedures and delivery of the University's SLC student finance service.
The successful applicant will also assist with the processing, through attendance confirmation, of the three student data returns per academic year to ensure that SLC funded tuition fee income is fully received from the SLC.
It is essential that the post holder is highly customer service orientated and can work to strict deadlines. Applicants should also demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service.
The position requires the ability to use a number of software packages including the use of strong Excel skills. Applicants should be organised, numerate and able to manage and prioritise workload using initiative to proactively resolve problems as they arise.
Applicants should also be educated to A level standard or higher or be able to demonstrate extensive relevant administrative experience.
