Coventry University is seeking an Associate Professor of Data Science in Healthcare in the Centre for Intelligent Healthcare. The Centre aims to become a globally recognised research centre for pioneering and opinion-setting research in the area of digital healthcare and its contribution to improving communities and enriching and prolonging individual lives.
The Centre is home to a vibrant programme of work across our three core themes: Epidemiology and Evidenced Based Healthcare, Prototype Design and Testing and also Behavioural and Implementation Science. These themes have ongoing projects in the development of online digital healthcare platforms, wearable health sensors, remote monitoring solutions, physiological measurement, biomedical signal processing, AI algorithms in healthcare, big data analytics, healthcare device innovation and interaction with local communities to identify and overcome barriers to the use of innovative healthcare technologies.
The post of Data Science in Healthcare would be able to develop innovative data science solutions for analysing/interpreting healthcare big data and evaluating healthcare technologies, through learning health system methodologies and using accountable, explainable and transparent AI and machine learning, and to supervise PhD students and contribute to the progress of the Centre.
