Skills Instructor/Demonstrator - Printmaking
Job description
Part Time (0.5 FTE)
Coventry University is looking to appoint a demonstrator in Printmaking to provide related skills teaching. Located within the School of Art and Design in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, the Printmaking workshop is well utilised by the School's well-established courses in Fine Art, Graphic Design and Illustration from Foundation
through
to Masters Level.
The successful candidate for this position will have a strong command of existing printmaking practices, with the ability to learn new skills and technologies as needed. Knowledge and experience of Printmaking processes are expected to include screen printing, intaglio and relief printing, complemented by a familiarity with digital tools e.g. Photoshop.
The post holder will ensure, and contribute to, a high level of technical provision and specialist knowledge and support to students and course teams within the University. A degree level qualification is required and experience of working in a training and / or teaching environment would be advantageous.
