As a Teaching Fellow - Digital Media, you will be joining an award-winning, creative hub that has a history of innovation and industry collaboration, and which offers highly regarded undergraduate and post-graduate courses in film, photography and media production, music and acting, journalism and communication, digital and immersive media.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and adaptable Teaching Fellow for our Digital Media course, to deliver teaching, learning and assessment. As well as a track record of academic excellence, you will have practical and technical experience in emerging forms of immersive storytelling and explorations through creative technologies. Applicants should have both practical and technical know-how in some of the following areas: creative coding with Processing and/or p5.js, game engines for immersive production (Unity and/or Unreal and/or Godot et al.), creative mobile and web app development, and/or 3D and 2D animation skills.
Applicants will have a master’s degree or a significant track record of high-profile industry experience or professional practice in a relevant field, alongside degree-level qualifications and subject knowledge.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing innovation and improvement in pedagogy; those without a teaching qualification will need to undertake Coventry University’s PGCHE and/or secure HEA fellowship.
Successful applicants will also demonstrate an ability to contribute to scholarship, and /or enterprise through their academic or industry experience in the subject area. There will be opportunities to contribute to our high profile Global Engagement and Enterprise and Innovation projects.
