Job description
The School of Humanities at Coventry University is looking for a Lecturer in English to join our academic team on a permanent basis. This post requires a passion for teaching coupled with expertise in Discourse Analysis and/or Sociolinguistics.
We are particularly interested in candidates with the vision to address the demands of teaching in the 21st century
who recognise the need for new ways of engaging with the subject and how this new pedagogy can be explored and developed creatively through new technologies.
Knowledge of higher education processes is important and experience of teaching through workshops, seminars, lectures, and assessment is essential to the role. Successful candidates will contribute to the development and enhancement of the school's research agenda and reputation for student success.
Our mission is to ensure that we provide a challenging, stimulating and highly rewarding educational experience for our students and to produce graduates that are equipped to engage with the diverse and varied opportunities available for specialists in English language and linguistics.
