The International Office at Coventry University is the University Group's international student recruitment and admissions service, operating centrally from our Coventry University campus in addition to a further nine locations around the world. We are a sector leading team and through our dynamic, innovative and target driven approach we have achieved results that has made us the third largest recruiter of international students in the UK.
To continue driving forward our success we are expanding our global reach with a new role, Regional Manager - The Americas. Reporting into the Deputy Director - International Development this is a new and exciting role that provides the successful candidate with the opportunity to rapidly develop a region we haven't deeply engaged with in student recruitment.
As a member of the student recruitment team you will make a significant contribution towards the growth and future success of our dynamic and successful International team. Through a targeted strategy you will work to drive growth in enrolments initially from Mexico, Brazil, Colombia,Chile & Ecuador (with expansion into further markets including North America overtime) by achieving targets through a diverse number of pipelines. This will include building strong working relationships with both agents and schools as well as other key stakeholders which will include sponsors, our pathway providers and the British Council.
The role involves representing the university at recruitment events across the region, counselling students and supporting counsellors in sending students to study with us in order to achieve targets. It will also involve supporting those students who have directly applied to the university with the information they need to enrol with us.
You will have experience of working within international student recruitment and understand the challenges facing the sector and foresee opportunities to tackle these to achieve success, with a commercially focused background and experience of achieving targets and driving growth.
This position involves regular travel across the region, candidates would be expected to travel up to 12 weeks a year, however this may vary depending on business demands.
We welcome applications from individuals within and outside the University sector but are particularly interested in those with experience of working in The Americas and whilst not essential it is preferred the candidate is able to speak either Spanish or Portuguese.
