We would like to invite you to join Coventry University’s Faculty of Arts and Humanities - a vibrant international community of scholars, researchers and practitioners passionate about the future potential of the creative arts - at a particularly exciting time. The Faculty has always championed collaborative working, innovative approaches and provided access to leading-edge resources. In summer 2022 it will do so from an outstanding new Faculty building that will push the boundaries of how we create and innovate across a range of exciting disciplines.
Within the Faculty, the School of Media and Performing Arts is an award-winning, creative hub that has a history of innovation and industry collaboration, and which offers highly-regarded undergraduate and post graduate courses in film, photography and media production, music and acting, journalism and communication, digital and immersive media.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and adaptable specialist in music production, sound recording, and sound design to deliver teaching, learning and assessment on our BSc (Hons) Music Technology course. Experience of producing game audio would be particularly welcome. You will be practice-based, passionate about education and employability and committed to developing industry focussed opportunities that enhance the student experience.
Applicants will have a PhD or a significant track record of high-profile industry experience or professional practice in a relevant field, alongside degree level qualifications and subject knowledge.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ongoing innovation and improvement in pedagogy; those without a teaching qualification will need to undertake Coventry University’s PGCHE and/or secure HEA fellowship.
Successful applicants will also demonstrate an ability to contribute to research or scholarship, and /or enterprise through their academic or industry experience in the subject area. There will be opportunities to join our Research Institute for Creative Cultures and contribute to our high profile Global Engagement and Enterprise and Innovation projects.
