The Knowledge Exchange Unit is based in the Enterprise and Innovation Group and delivers collaborative projects for the University -connecting academic staff and external organisations together on business focused projects.
As a Knowledge Exchange Co-ordinator you will work closely with the other members of the Enterprise & Innovation Group in generating new business for the University. You will identify and develop commercial opportunities and support bid-writing activities. You will promote Group activities externally, providing support to all faculties to facilitate relationships for the exchange of knowledge between academia and external organisations.
You will be based in the award-winning Technology Park at the University, working closely with local companies in the West Midlands and liaising with companies on a National and International basis. Working on projects which last between 6 months and 3 years your agile working approach, and high level of customer service will be paramount in delivering success in the University Group. Your attention to detail and ability to quickly process details will enable clients and the University to move quickly on new project opportunities.
The post will work within the Knowledge Exchange Unit delivering well-known and developed schemes such as Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), new schemes with transnational partners and supporting new clients and long term strategic partnership projects.
