An exciting position has become available for a Senior Registry Officer to join the senior team supporting Registry student support administration in the Faculty of Engineering Environment and Computing. The Faculty proudly delivers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses across its three schools – Energy, Construction and Environment; Computing, Electronics and Maths; and Mechanical, Aerospace and Automotive Engineering.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with significant experience in general office-based administration to further their career within professional services in a leading higher education institution.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the teams who provide administrative support services for our busy schools and where you will be expected to become an expert. You will be able to confidently advise students and staff alike on course and module matters and regulatory issues.
You will also be expected to respond to complex queries from internal or external stakeholders often by liaising with a variety of people both within the Faculty, across the University and further afield.
In addition you will be a pro-active member of the Registry senior administrative team supporting the Faculty Registrar in realising University and Faculty objectives and reviewing the overall effectiveness and efficiency of administration within the Faculty Registrar’s remit.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic leader with a passion for accuracy, professionalism, and excellent customer service experience gained in a fast-paced environment. You will need to have a positive ‘can do’ attitude, being highly organised and able to manage and prioritise your workload and that of others whilst also recognising the needs of the team as a whole. You understand the importance of being able to work flexibly on your own or as part of a team to meet the changing priorities and the needs of the Faculty.
A good knowledge of working within regulated procedures as well as an understanding of, and commitment to, enhancing quality is also essential.
The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills gained from working in a more senior administrative role as well as being IT literate. You should be qualified to degree level or be able to evidence extensive relevant experience, possibly gained from the (Higher) Education sector.Please click here for job description and person specification
