We are seeking an academic with an established profile in History to join our thriving and innovative courses. Applicants should have a PhD or equivalent professional status and be able to demonstrate the ability to relate research led learning in History into teaching contexts. In addition, applicants must have the ability to teach across practice and theory, and a proven track record of delivering a first-class student experience within a higher education environment, having been actively engaged in teaching at HE level. Experience of education innovation is key and the post-holder must have a proven track record of exploring new and emerging modes of practice, delivery and scholarship and be actively engaged in professional practice, and research led income generation. You will have a doctorate in a relevant subject with particular emphasis on social and people's history in the19th and 20th Century together with an ability to deliver a module examining women's lives in Britain and the United States.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a continuing engagement with professional, scholarly and pedagogic development - those without a teaching qualification will be required to undertake Coventry University's PGCHE or secure a HEA fellowship.
