The Atypical Development Research Theme, basedin the Centre for Research in Psychology, Behaviour and Achievement, CoventryUniversity, has a number of research projects exploring mental health inneurodevelopmental conditions (mhautism.coventry.ac.uk). We are looking for a research assistant to join our group on a research project funded by theleading autism research charity Autistica. The project will conduct the first Psychological Autopsy study aiming to understand and prevent suicide in thosewith autism. The project involves interviewing friends and family of those whohave died by suicide, to inform new suicide prevention strategies.
The research assistant employed on the projectwill work within a multi-disciplinary team, including a scientific advisorypanel, and collaborators based at the Autism Research Centre, University of Cambridge. Under line management supervision and guidance, the successfulcandidate will organise and help conduct interviews with participants,coordinate data collection and analysis for publication, and presentation atconferences.
