Due to our continued success and growth the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to recruit a committed individual who can deliver high quality and innovative teaching and assessment to Advanced Clinical Practice students within the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health.
We are seeking a practicing advanced clinical practitioner with at least three-year’s experience in the role. Applicants must hold a recognised MSc Advanced Clinical Practice and have current registration with their relevant professional body.
Applicants should ideally have relevant experience of teaching and learning in Advanced Clinical Practice, including all four-pillar activity (HEE 2017). Experience of delivering academic education and a recognised teaching qualification are desirable, but not essential.
We are particularly looking for someone with an interest or experience in the teaching and learning of Health Assessment.
As an Assistant Professor you would be required to undertake and lead curriculum development and innovation and be continually looking to improve course content and provision, with particular emphasis on health assessment. Supporting the course director with all aspects of course management will be required including student monitoring, the promotion and marketing of the course, and support admission/recruitment activities as necessary.
The University offers academic and professional development and the opportunity to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate Teaching Qualification for individuals who do not hold a recognised teaching qualification. You will be supported to develop your interests in order to progress your career. Salary is dependent on experience.
For an informal discussion of the post please contact Nicky Parker-Summers, Course Director ACP aa0938@coventry.ac.uk
