We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the team at the Institute of Applied Entrepreneurship (IAE), Coventry University. For the first year, and possibly subsequent years, 40% of the successful candidate's time will be seconded to the National Centre for Entrepreneurship Education (NCEE) also based at Coventry University.
The IAE blends a wide range of services and products that encompass education, research and support to help students, staff and businesses from across the region to be more entrepreneurial. The NCEE focuses on raising the entrepreneurial capacity within educational institutions and on supporting academic staff to develop curricula that fosters a more entrepreneurial mindset.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for enterprise and entrepreneurship as well as a focus on staff development, all of which should be evidenced in recent teaching experience at higher education level. A relevant and growing research profile, plus experienced gained from business management or consultancy are also required.
Applicants from an academic background should hold a Masters degree in an appropriate subject with evidence of research/consultancy and good pedagogic practice. Applicants from a professional practice background are also welcome and should hold an appropriate postgraduate/ professional qualification and membership.
The candidate will be expected to bring innovation and entrepreneurial flair to their teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level; contribute to applied research/lead research groups and contribute to bids to secure external funding.
Ideally, should be able to start immediately.
